America Saves Week 2023 begins Feb. 27; encourages tackling debt, building savings, wealth

America Saves Week is a national campaign that is co-sponsored by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council. This year, America Saves Week is observed Feb. 27-March 3, and each day has its own unique theme. The week is designed to encourage individuals and families to save money and build personal wealth. This year’s theme is “A Financially Confident You.”

2023 ASW daily themes are as follows:

  • Saving Automatically, Feb. 27
  • Saving for the Unexpected, Feb. 28
  • Saving for Major Milestones, March 1
  • Paying Down Debt Is Saving, March 2
  • Saving at Any Age, March 3

Throughout the week, Fidelity – Purdue’s official provider of education, guidance and assistance related to retirement plan investments and decisions – will present multiple workshops as well as Ask Fidelity sessions each day on a variety of financial wellness topics to help attendees tackle debt and start saving.

The Ask Fidelity session schedule is available on Fidelity’s scheduler web page. Change the event type to “Virtual Event” to see the available sessions.

Additionally, one-on-one sessions with a Fidelity retirement planner are available all year long. Fidelity retirement planners are available to meet one on one virtually to help answer retirement questions, plan for retirement income, develop a comprehensive investment strategy and more.
